This has been translated from the original Swedish press release “Roxette in concert till Göteborg och Halmstad sommaren 2025.”

In 2016, Roxette performed what we thought would be their last ever concerts. Now, almost a decade later, the duo’s frontman, songwriter and founder Per Gessle is taking his collection of worldwide hits back on the road. The tour, which will be joined by Lena Philipsson, has already released several dates in South Africa, Australia and Europe in 2025 and now it is clear that there will be two concerts in Sweden next summer!

It’s been almost five years since Roxette lost Marie Fredriksson to cancer. A devastating loss that left family, friends and fans alike in mourning.

But their musical legacy has continued to flourish, with songs that are constantly streamed, played and enjoyed by old and new listeners alike all over the world.

In 2025, their vast treasure trove of songs, created by Per Gessle, will be revived when he brings the Roxette band on stage to do what he loves most; perform his songs live in front of a dedicated audience.

During the tour, singer Lena Philipsson, who earlier this year released the single “Sällskapssjuk” together with Per, will join him on all dates. “Sällskapssjuk” is the title track of Per’s upcoming album, which will be released at the end of October. Per Gessle:

2025 will be a big Roxette year! First South Africa and Australia in the spring and then a European tour in the summer. And to play on home turf, on the west coast of Sweden, feels of course extra fantastic. Lena and I and the whole gang will be at our best. See you there!

The band will consist of Christoffer Lundquist, Magnus Börjeson, Magnus “Norpan” Eriksson, Dea Norberg and original Roxette icons Clarence Öfwerman and Jonas Isacsson.
