The key to the success was the brilliant pop tune “The Look” which was Roxette’s first #1 hit in the US. In fact, the song became #1 in 25 other countries as well. Two years later – in 1991 – they had their fourth US #1 hit with “Joyride.” They have been on top of the charts somewhere in the world ever since, with sparkling pop tunes like “Sleeping in My Car,” “Stars,” “Real Sugar” – all included in The Pop Hits.

After fifteen years in the limelight, the constant flow of hit singles and albums have resulted in staggering record sales (42 million albums and 15 million singles).
