In their home country they are cleaning up tremendously! The Swedish pop duo Roxette recently introduced themselves with their remix album DANCE PASSION, from which “Neverending Love” has now been released.
Roxette - that’s Per Gessle and Marie Fredriksson, both well-known personalities of the Swedish music scene. Per Gessle was the singer and frontman of Gyllene Tider, Sweden’s most successful pop and rock group of the eighties, until 1985. Gessle wrote song material for Frida (of Abba), among others, and is one of his country’s most renowned songwriters.
Marie Fredriksson started her career a few years ago as a background singer and released her first single on her own in 1984. Marie’s second solo album is currently at the top of the Swedish charts.
In 1986, the two appeared as musical partners for the first time. Per Gessle wrote a real pop earworm with dancefloor qualities with “Neverending Love”.
